Stefan A. Neata is a Partner at Centerview Partners focused on healthcare, with particular expertise in life sciences tools, diagnostics and healthcare technology. He advises companies on acquisitions, divestitures, spin-offs and carve-outs, portfolio reviews, investor messaging and shareholder activism. Over his career, he has advised on more than $200 billion of transactions.

Representative healthcare transactions include advising Purolite on its $3.7 billion sale to Ecolab; BioLife Solutions on its $1.5 billion sale to Repligen; Standard BioTools on its announced merger with Treeline Biosciences and on its sale of SomaLogic to Illumina; Repligen on its acquisition of 908 Devices’ bioprocessing analytics portfolio; Nexus Pharmaceuticals on the sale of its CDMO operations to Eli Lilly and Company; Avantor on its $1.1 billion acquisition of Ritter; and Cencora on the sale of its U.S. patient services operations to CareMetx.

Mr. Neata has also advised on significant transactions across a range of industries, including Emerson’s $11 billion acquisition of a controlling interest in Aspen Technology; PTC’s acquisitions of ServiceMax and Arena Solutions; Johnson Controls’ $13 billion divestiture of Power Solutions and $16.5 billion merger with Tyco; and 21st Century Fox’s $85 billion sale to The Walt Disney Company.

Before joining Centerview, Mr. Neata worked as an attorney in the Mergers & Acquisitions group at Davis Polk & Wardwell. He received a Bachelor of Applied Science in Engineering Science, with honors, from the University of Toronto and a Juris Doctor from Harvard Law School. He lives in New York with his wife and three children.
